Steampunk in the Night Rain
The evening brought with it clouds, and in the night they thickened and dropped an unending grey drizzle on the city. Horses champed at their bits and flicked sodden ears in displeasure. Carriage wheels splashed rhythmically through deep puddles. Men put on the most handsome dash they could muster as they hurried gratefully through the golden doorways. The cathedral bonged its loud complaints, which the wind carried and drifted through the streets.
